At Santa Luz, We’ve gotten to know our new neighbors, the Boston Red Sox, pretty well over the last couple of years. After all, with 10,000 fans watching every game, we think more than a few will want to make their home one mile away at Santa Luz. Red Sox officials have told us that the stadium will be used year-round with a lot of baseball, soccer, concerts and special events planned. But the really exciting news surrounds the open frontage along the Daniels Road site. There, plans are being formulated and could possibly include a wide range of businesses that will make the stadium experience even better, while providing Gateway residents with new restaurants, shopping and entertainment right at their front door. All of this activity will have a very positive effect on local real estate values…and that will include Santa Luz. Check out this business story about the stadium’s impact. |

For years, home prices have been dropping…across the country and in Florida. Of course these price declines helped to make many Florida markets very attractive to new home buyers. While prices in the Fort Myers market may have tumbled farther than most, there is a silver lining to that cloud. A recent report from Realtor.com shows prices have begun to rebound significantly in the Fort Myers area. Data from an October 2011 study showed that prices have increased nearly 33% year-over-year in the Fort Myers-Cape Coral market. On top of this, the Census Bureau reported that October home sales increased 8.9% from October 2010. These may be some of the reason we’ve seen a jump in Santa Luz sales over the past couple of months. Our first two building are sold-out and we are now preparing to bring some of our other buildings to market. The word is out there – Santa Luz condos are a great value! |

If you haven’t visited Santa Luz lately, you might want to think about coming back. We’re making great progress at the community. We recently made two more sales, and we’re talking to several very interested customers. We’ve invested significant resources into the exterior finishes of the existing buildings and we’re in the process of reviewing the plans for our new swimming pool and cabana. When you stop by we think you’ll be impressed with what you see. And speaking of progress, the new Boston Red Sox spring training complex is moving right along. You can almost see the progress daily. If you want to know more, click on the link below. It’s a progress story that was recently published by the News Press. Seems everyone is getting ready for “season” and we hope you will stop by and see what’s new at Santa Luz. Here’s the Red Sox link… Progress at the Park |
